Smith Challenger Manufacturing and Services, Inc., was formed in March 2009 with over 60 years of combined experience in the industrial brush and industrial sweeping machine industry. Smith Challenger builds the most innovative, longest lasting, and user friendly construction sweeping equipment on the market. Smith Challenger takes pride in providing to our customers service and equipment to meet the demands of each individual customer. Smith Challenger sweepers are manufactured to outlast, outperform, and sweep away the competition.

Keith Smith - has over 45 years of experience in the industrial brush and industrial road sweeper industry.  Keith has witnessed firsthand what customers in the construction industry need in a sweeper, which is why durability, ease of use, and efficiency, are a part of all his designs.  Keith builds a product that he is confident and proud of, and also importantly a product that the end user is proud of.  Keith’s most notable contribution to the road sweeper industry is his patented quick change broom mechanism (PATENT 4,926,517).  Keith also designed the industry’s first front mounted brush rear steer self propelled sweeper.  Keith also has designed many other road sweepers to adapt to a variety of customer needs, whether it is a custom design to fit a particular tractor or attaching a sweeper to a forklift, truck or skid steer, Keith works with customers to make sure their needs are met.   

Betty Smith - has over 20 years in the industrial brush and industrial sweeper industry.  Betty’s experience in the industry is in sales and marketing.  Her product knowledge is key to helping customers decide which product will best fit their needs.  

Kyle Smith - has over 15 years in the industrial brush and industrial sweeper industry.  Kyle is key in making sure that the Challenger series of sweepers are manufactured to meet the standard of quality and durability that has been established by his father.  Kyle is also involved in new product development.

Loni Smith - has 5 years in the industrial brush and industrial sweeper industry.  She graduated from Florida Southern College in 2004, with a business degree in Finance.  A few of Loni’s responsibilities at Smith Challenger include, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Human Resources, and assisting with marketing.
